Bali Film in Exhibition

Images show my film projected onto the wall at the travel exhibitions. Monkeys, mountains, and creepy child/women.

Bali Film

Finally made this film for the experimental travel exhibition. Quality on youtube sensationally poor.

The Event

The beloved tree sustained some injuries on the way to faversham, but looked good when assembled. We then accosted anyone who passed the tree, gave them a hat and took a photo of them in our photobooth. It was not long before the hats gained a reputation and people came looking for them...

Alice Hats studio photos

Nice pictures of our life-draining hats and the beloved tree which I sprinted across Leeds to get spraypaint for, and permanently spray painted my skin it would seem. I am happy with how these came out.

Dr Sketchy's Alice in Wonderland Event in progress...

For the Dr Sketchy's event at Faversham, me and Amy decided to make Alice in Wonderland hats to give out to people. We wanted to do an interactive rather than a decorative piece as it could add to the overall atmosphere and enjoyment of the night. The night was 'costumed' but no doubt some would turn up without the essential hat. So we decided to fill this need.

Let Us Bathe in your Creative Mind Pool

Creepy illustrations. Especially the one on the far right. With its teeny tiny rat eyes.

Look!

Me and Lizzy sent our Candy Louise publication to Tokyo, and our names are featured on the zine website (in capitals). Exciting.

Den Question Time

This is a film made for the project Kerry & Kevin. We were asked to answer four questions, so we invited people into our den and filmed the discussions which occurred...

Our finished poster for the Print Exchange, printed onto a sort of fabric. We have frayed the edges to further show the 'transience'. I now severely want to make a book out of the strange paper/fabric fusion.

Print Exchange Poster Design

Christine and I were asked to make a poster based on the theme of 'home' in return for filling out our questionnaires. We felt the den we made was representative of how we move around a lot at this point in our lives, and are pretty confused overall about what and where home is. We have faded the image to suggest how one home fades into another... We are printing it onto awesome paper which is actually a kind of fabric.

Questionnaires 'flooding' in.

We are beginning to receive the responses to our questionnaires. It is very exciting. It would more exciting for me if they weren't all addressed to Christine, but probably in my house they would be trampled, or simply dissolve in the toxic air. Bring on more responses.

DEN

Today me and Christine made a Den. We did this in order to complete two projects we have been asked to do by people in Bristol. One surrounds the topic of 'home' while the other regards 'social inclusion'. We invited people in to discuss inclusion, and thought about how temporary a home can be. Tomorrow we will edit the film footage and images we took and complete the two projects. Productive.

Mexicana

I went to this exhibition at the British museum because of my soon to be trip to MEXICO. I found it rather inspiring and it got me thinking about what could be made in response to the trip?? Unfortunately the internet is super gay and could not find some of the truly awesome book covers and so on that i found. A mighty shame that they shall be lost in the murky depths of my mind.
